Just finished the debut novel by writer and comic actor DC Pierson (of “Derrick” fame).  It really defies genre so it’s hard to lump it into a category — it’s a sincere coming-of-age story that’s often R-rated, but it also finds time to lump in sci-fi action, satirical commentary on the pharmaceuticals industry, and obscure pop culture commentary.  It’s a really enjoyable read (and a quick one), so if you like comedy and good writing, support the author and grab a copy off Amazon.

I also just finished “In Cold Blood” by Truman Capote, and I can say with absolute confidence that DC’s book is funnier.
